Food Tripping at Donghuamen

When you think of Chinese food, I guess the last thing that would cross your mind is this:

Or this:

Or this:

The Donghuamen Night Market — where a man can shout “Sheep testicles!” at the top of his lungs, without sounding like a total pervert. If you’re not totally into roasted critters or animal entrails, then there’s dimsum, soup and candied fruits as well, in this festive strip of food stalls just at the north end of Wangfujie Street. Maybe not everything’s up your alley, but one thing for sure — it’s a feast for the eyes.

.

After sauntering in Donghuamen, we thought that our food-tripping was over, until we stumbled onto Wangfujing Snack Street, just a few blocks away. There were tables out on the street, so that you could take more time enjoying your exotic fare.
Of course, the perfect ending to an adventurous dinner -- Gambai!
