I pray that you never will have to, but there might be times in your journey that you would have to set out in the lowest of spirits. As for me, I wandered into Florence with nothing less but a shattered heart. Plans fell through, promises were abandoned, and what I thought would be the most memorable part of my trip found me in my most bitter state. The little dark cloud that was hovering over me seemed to inspire the rain clouds forming high above, dousing Florence in a gloomy drizzle.
Picking up the pieces, I took a deep breath and set off to get to know the city. Little by little, the realm of the Medicis started to unfold. I immersed myself in sights and stories, and found that I was starting to enjoy myself once again. Churches and towers with intricately designed facades and ceilings implore you to linger. Guarding some of the undeniably most breathtaking art in the world, the galleries are not be missed. In between, I’ve sat down to interesting conversations with the Florentines in the gelaterias. Things were looking up.

It was there I realized that a lot of times, despite everything, you can choose to make your own sunshine.

“..that a lot of times, despite everything, you can choose to make your own sunshine.” AMEN!
In other news, I think I deserve some kuwento. Hmmm…
